Terms of Service

1. About these terms

By creating an account on jobembed.co or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't sign up. These Terms form a binding contract between you and the service provider identified in §2.

If you're a consumer in the European Union, you keep all the consumer-protection rights that are mandatory under the law of your country of residence — nothing in these Terms takes those away.

2. About the service provider

The service is provided by:

In these Terms "we", "us", and "JobEmbed" all refer to the above. Contact: hello@jobembed.co.

3. What the service does

JobEmbed surfaces job postings that match the search profile you create. We pull listings from public job boards (currently LinkedIn, via Bright Data's Web Scraper API), enrich them with language-requirement extraction, and rank them against the preferences you set.

We don't apply for jobs on your behalf, negotiate with employers, or guarantee any outcome. JobEmbed is a search-and-discovery tool — not a recruitment agency.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use JobEmbed. If you're using the service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.

5. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. If you suspect someone else is using your account, change your password and email hello@jobembed.co so we can help.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see §11).

6. Free trial

New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full features and no credit card required. The trial is intended for evaluating the service, not for indefinite free use.

When the trial ends:

• If you've subscribed, your subscription becomes active.
• If you haven't, your account becomes read-only: you can still see existing search profiles and history, but no new searches or scrapes will run until you subscribe.

The 7-day length is a founder decision and may change for new signups in the future. Existing trials are not retroactively shortened or extended without explicit notice.

7. Subscription and payment

Pricing

Prices are listed in euros, exclusive of VAT. LemonSqueezy (see below) calculates the VAT rate based on your billing country and adds it as a separate line item on the invoice you receive.

We may change prices for new sign-ups at any time. Existing subscriptions keep the price you signed up at until you cancel.

How payment works — LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy Inc. ("LemonSqueezy"), which acts as the merchant of record (reseller) for our digital subscriptions. This means:

• LemonSqueezy is the legal seller of the subscription to you and issues the receipt / invoice in its own name.
• LemonSqueezy collects and remits VAT, sales tax, and other applicable taxes on the transaction.
• Your card details are submitted directly to LemonSqueezy — we never see or store them.
• Disputes about the payment (chargebacks, billing errors, tax invoices) are handled by LemonSqueezy under its own terms.
• Disputes about the service itself (does JobEmbed do what it says, account access, feature issues) are between you and JobEmbed under these Terms.

By subscribing, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available at https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/legal.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We email you a receipt after every successful payment.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the LemonSqueezy customer portal (linked from your account settings). Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period; after that, the account becomes read-only as in §6.

We don't pro-rate refunds when you cancel partway through a billing period.

14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you're a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your first paid subscription activation, under Directive 2011/83/EU. To exercise it, email hello@jobembed.co within 14 days of payment and you'll get a full refund — no questions asked.

The 14-day clock starts when your first payment is made, not when you sign up for the free trial. The trial itself is free, so there is nothing to refund for the trial period. Each subsequent renewal does not restart a new withdrawal window — the right applies only to the initial subscription contract.

Other refund requests

For exceptional cases (service was unavailable, accidental double-charge, technical fault preventing use of the service, etc.), email hello@jobembed.co and we'll handle it case-by-case. Refunds for valid claims are processed via LemonSqueezy and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.

9. Acceptable use

When using JobEmbed you agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest content from the service without our written permission.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the data we surface.
• Use the service to send spam, harass employers or other users, or for any unlawful purpose.
• Circumvent any rate limit, paywall, or access control.
• Upload malware, exploit security vulnerabilities, or interfere with the operation of the service.
• Use automated tools to create accounts or submit search profiles in bulk.

If you breach this section, we may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice.

10. Content from third parties

JobEmbed displays public job postings from LinkedIn, scraped via Bright Data. We don't own this content; it belongs to LinkedIn and the employers who posted it.

• We make reasonable efforts to keep listings current, but we can't guarantee accuracy, availability, or that a listing is still open by the time you click through.
• We don't endorse any employer, role, or salary range shown.
• If a posting links externally, you're subject to that destination's own terms once you click.

We respect employer and platform takedown requests. If you represent a content owner who believes a posting should be removed, email hello@jobembed.co with the listing URL and the basis for the takedown.

11. Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to maintain payment (LemonSqueezy retries failed charges per its own policy; persistent failure after that window converts the account to read-only as in §6), or use the service in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the service. We'll give reasonable notice and a chance to fix the issue, except where immediate action is necessary (e.g. fraud, malware, or court order).

On termination, paid subscriptions stop renewing and any data still subject to retention (see Privacy Policy §9) is removed on schedule. Refunds, if any, follow §8.

12. Disclaimers

JobEmbed is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• Any specific job match will be relevant or current.
• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Defects will be corrected, or that the service or its servers are free of viruses or malicious code.

Your use of the service is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

• Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (i) €100 or (ii) the total amount paid for the JobEmbed subscription (via LemonSqueezy or any other channel) in the 12 months immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim.
• We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost employment opportunities, lost earnings, lost data, or loss of goodwill — even if we've been advised that such damages might occur.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the smallest amount that the law allows.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party because of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the service.

15. Changes to the service

We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We try to give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paying users.

If a change makes the service materially worse for you (for example, removal of a core advertised feature you actively used), you can cancel and request a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your subscription. This is a narrow exception to the no-pro-rate rule in §8 — ordinary cancellations remain non-pro-rated.

16. Changes to these Terms

When we make material changes to these Terms, we'll notify active account holders by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the updated Terms. Minor edits — typos, clarifications — take effect immediately and update the Last updated date only.

A history of past versions is available on request.

17. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies a different rule — in which case that rule wins to the extent of the conflict.

Scope split with LemonSqueezy. Disputes about the payment transaction (billing, chargebacks, invoices, VAT, refunds executed through LemonSqueezy) are governed by LemonSqueezy's own Terms of Service — see §7. Disputes about the JobEmbed service (account access, feature delivery, data) are governed by these Terms.

Service disputes we can't resolve informally go to the courts of Beograd, Serbia. EU consumers also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

18. Miscellaneous

• Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver. If we don't enforce a right immediately, we don't lose it.
• Assignment. You can't assign your account or rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign the service to a successor (e.g. in a sale of the business) with notice.
• Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout are the entire agreement between us regarding the service.
